
Jason Kent Bateman was born on January 14, 1969 in Rye, New York. He has an older sister, Justine Bateman who is also an actress. Jason's first big role was playing James Cooper Ingalls on the television show "Little House on the Prairie". He also appeared on other shows such as Knight Rider, Silver Spoons, It's Your Move and Valerie.
He has appeared in a slew of a movies such as Dodgeball, The Break-up, The Kingdom, State of Play, Fast Track, Smokin Aces, Forgetting Sarah Marshall etc. He is most well known for being in the smash hit movie "Juno".
One of his other most well known was playing Michael Bluth in the critically acclaimed television show "Arrested Development" which aired from 2003-2006. He was also nominated in 2005 for the Emmy Award for Outstanding Actor in a Comedy Series. Bateman will reprise the role of Michael Bluth in the Arrested Development film, which is set to premiere in 2010.
Since 2001, Bateman has been married to actress Amanda Anka, daughter of singer and actor Paul Anka. Their first child, Francesca Nora Bateman, was born October 28, 2006.
