JOHNNY DEPP

Born June 19, 1963, Johnny is arguably one of the most well known and sought after actors at the moment.

John Christopher Depp II was born in Owensboro, Kentucky. His parents are Betty Sue Palmer and John Christopher Depp Sr. He has a brother named Danny, and two sisters named Christie and Debbie. Johnny's family moved often during his childhood and thus he has lived in 20 different locations, finally settling in Mirimar Florida in 1970. His parents got divorced in 1978.

Johnny is of German, Cherokee and Irish ancestry, and according to biographies, the Depp family originated in France, either with the original surname of Deppe or Dieppe. Johnny jokes that while he doesn't know the origin of his surname, that it translates into "idiot" in German (while it actually translates into a minor insult, as the word "fool").

Johnny got his first guitar when he was 12 and played with a few garage bands, and ended up dropping out of highschool to pursue a career as a rock musician. He married a makeup artist named Lori Anne Allison (whom he divorced soon after) who introduced him to Nicolas Cage. Nick advised him to pursue a career in acting.

Johnny has appeared in several films over the years. His early work includes Cry Baby, Benny and Joon, and Edward Scissorhands. He also appeared as a main cast member in the 80s TV series 21 Jumpstreet. Johnny is however best known for his most recent roles as Captain Jack Sparrow in the Pirates of the Caribbean trilogy, and as the title character in Sweeney Todd: The Demon Barber of Fleet Street.

Although not married, Johnny has been in a long term relationship with girlfriend Vanessa Paradis (a French singer-actress). They have two children together: a daugher named Lily-Rose Melody Depp, and a son named John Christopher Depp III, whom he calls Jack.

Johnny Depp, Jude Law and Colin Farrell have all taken over Heath Ledger's last film role as Tony in "The Imaginarium of Doctor Parnassus". Each actor took their paycheck from making the film and donated it to Heath's daughter Matilda.

Johnny is good friends with Director Tim Burton, and has worked with him on 7 films: Edward Scissorhands, Ed Wood, Sleepy Hollow, Charlie and the Chocolate Factory, Corpse Bride, and Sweeney Todd. His 7th is Alice In Wonderland, which is set to be released in March 2010.

He also is finishing the third Batman Movie that Heath Ledger couldn't finish and is giving all the money that he makes off the movie to Health's family.
