For a movie its got a good story and sturdy acting and is pretty interesting the main audience and those that get the main juicy bits from the story will probably be ivy league yanks. But come on, is his accent some joke or is that part of his character. "It sounds like bloody aw...( read more)

Great movie. If u like Brit movies, football and understand the lingo - and amongst all that is a story with friendship, honor and pretty much stepping up and facing everything head on for what you believe in - football. You can find the deepest part of your soul and integrity i...( read more)

A great story and beautifully shot. This has a great raw feeling to it, perfect for the subject matter. It is essentially a very well done b-movie about street fighting gangs. The acting is great and one of Elijah Woods best performances post LOTR.

Critic Reviews
Director and co-writer Lexi Alexander choreographs the fight scenes with thrilling chaos, and the plot unfolds expertly if melodramatically. full review
The message is that violence is hard-wired into men, if only the connection is made. full review

July 14, 2008Some parts were really badassed but some parts were really sissy-trying-to-be-badasses. Like the washroom scene in the end: 'i was a weak little nothing but then i went to england and became tough so now with my bad ass attitude and karate skills ill return home and beat up the bully." thats so family channel.
And what was with music during the huge final fight scene at the end? with good music that could have been so much cooler! but the stuff they played ruined it...
ellija wood has always been a pussy. the singing to himself at the end was so fake and unatural. -
March 16, 2008God, was this film awful or what? Seriously, I couldn't take this film seriously. Everything about was awful especially Charlie Hunnam, who sports the worst and funniest cockney accent ever.
Seriously, i would be angry at this film apart from the fact it was just awful and funny in how a film like this could take itself sooooo seriously.
I think it was an outstanding contender for Worst Film of 2005.
In fact every person who i met said they liked it were either mad or angry, when i said i didn't like it.
Just plain funny because it's so incredibly terrible and crap , especially the fight scene at the end. -
