The best "Indiana Jones" adventure in years! Fun, exciting, exhilarating, funny, & overall entertaining! Welcome back, Indy!

I finally got to see this on one of the movie channels we get thru our cable package. Some typical Indy scenes, some physical impossibilities (those giant ants for one, and the way they behaved), and some good FX. But this last installation didn't make that big an impact on me....( read more)

Right. Where do I start. Well, Shia LaBeouf was not half as annoying as I thought he would be but his Tarzan antics nearly made me throw my pop corn at the screen, as much of the film did. It all started so well too! It?s the 1950's and Indy is still getting into trouble and as t...( read more)

First off, classic Indy. Entertaining to watch, yet their are many holes in the story and many questions left unanswered. It hardly explains the point of the storyline, the aliens. But yet, it is a good movie for raw entertainment and I enjoyed it as such.

Functional sequel lacking the Indy magic. Ford looks bored and shows none of the charm and wit which distinguished the series. It sticks closely to the winning formula other than this (vehicle chases etc) but is derailed by Lucas' ludicrous alien skull plot device. LaBeouf has po...( read more)

Is Shia LaBeouf annoying? Hell yes. Is he less annoying than Short Round? Um.......maybe.

It wasn't as awful as a lot of other reviews called it. I actually quite liked all the interpersonal stuff. I liked Mutt Williams, I LOVED Marian being back and I loved all that stuff.
The whole aliens (or "inter dimensional beings") stuff was rubbish and I found Cate Blanchet's...( read more) -

Indiana Jones on Prozac. Entertaining, but VERY tame: no big special effects, no big surprises. Nice to see KAllen again, but SLaBeouf needs to go.

I honestly liked 50% of it...i did!...but there was a lot of problems with it. it doesnt really feel indiana jones...harrison has somthing like 5 sidekicks which was a problem because harrison is such a great actor that he should be the main ingredient...but when you have 5 he ge...( read more)
Critic Reviews
It's not bad, exactly. It's not a desecration of the franchise. It's just . . . tired. full review
Indiana Jones and the Kingdom of the Crystal Skull is probably the worst of the Indiana Jones movies, but it's still pretty much a delight, from the beginning almost until the end. full review
Can all be summed up with the thought the film could have been much better, but it could have been much worse. full review
At his best, Spielberg is certainly capable of tapping, to almost unnerving degree, collective moods and fears and longings, both emotional and cultural. full review
The action sequences are staged and edited sloppily, a far cry from the death-defying stuntman extravaganzas of yore. full review
Crystal Skull is hit-and-miss like the clunky 1984 sequel, Temple of Doom. And instead of the elegiac tone that lifted 1989's presumptive valedictory, The Last Crusade, director Steven Spielberg and p... full review
This is Spielberg at his most pop and most amazing: turning the shiny American quotidian into an authentically numinous and strange experience. full review
I can say that if you liked the other Indiana Jones movies, you will like this one, and that if you did not, there is no talking to you. full review
Even with the ponderous dialogue, there is considerable fun, and it's good to see that Indy, though slightly weary, still has the goods. full review

November 23, 2008I loved this film!! But I'm really confused coz if you watch some of the LEGO versions on Youtube, Karen Allen's eyes are bright blue even though she has brown eyes in real life, can anyone help me or am I just really thick???

October 19, 2008I liked this one, different to the old ones-not a classic, but appealed to a younger newer audience. Also liked the reference to his age, i think it reminded people that he's is getting older and therefore won't be displaying the same phsyical'action skills' as the others, also it opened the way for a new generation.

September 23, 2008I was kind of disappointed with this one.. it wasn't bad, but it just didn't feel like Indiana Jones to me. George Lucas wrote the story, and I usually love his stuff, but if he wants to write sci-fi,then he should stick to Star Wars. I understand the beliefs behind Crystal Skull, but they didn't actually have to bring it to life in the movie.
