Christ, this movie was dumb. You-can't-get-pregnant-if-you-do-it-standing-up-or-in-a-pool dumb. Or maybe it was blow-your-kid's-college-fund-on-hookers-and-ponies terrible. Haven't decided yet. While the cameos were one of the Revenge of the Fallen's few saving graces along with ...( read more)more robots in some pretty wild fight scenes, said robots in those scenes were so detailed that all I was able to get out of the CG messes were metallic-colored blurs. The movie was about an hour too long and all of the good aspects of the actually decent first movie were milked dry within the first 20 minutes. I was ready to forgive Michael Bay after the first Transformers movie but he proves beyond a shadow of a doubt that his God-given assclown status is not only deserved, but will be his until the day he dies. Probably longer. Bay just apparently assumed that by throwing more shiny things on the screen his audience would just drool and forget how terrible and incomprehensible the story was or wonder why the hell Shia LaBeouf's hand was in a cast for the last act of the movie. I couldn't bring myself to care about any of the characters and vag roommate was the worst. Wait, those twin Autobots were the worst. Sorry. Hearing Green Day 2387 during the movie and the Linkin Park song during the credits only added to the minus column and Megan Fox looked like a sunbeaten leather handbag in training. If you're over 14 and liked this movie you're a goddamned retard. Congratulations, Michael Bay--you've done the impossible and made Joel Schumacher look like fucking Fellini...

It should have been easy to make a sequel to Transformers. With a simple story, a few more robots and more action, this would be an automatic home-run. Unfortunately, the filmmakers got a little too ambitious with this one.

First of all, I have to admit that the CGI was very im...( read more)pressive. The Transformers look better and more complicated than ever, but at times the action and fight scenes are incredibly difficult to keep track of. The camera is often so tight on the action, and the robots move so quickly, that everything comes off as muddled. I'd like a lot more pulled-back views of the action, so that we could actually see all the eye-candy.

That particular issue wasn't a deal-breaker, but I did have a big problem with the "humor" and the overall story. This movie tries so hard to be funny, and 95% of the time, those attempts fail horribly. I was just shaking my head at how impossibly sophomoric many of the Transformers acted. Most of the human characters were also so over-the-top that it was annoying. Either make the movies semi-serious, or get someone who isn't a complete idiot to handle the humor. The twins, the leg-humping, and the annoying mother are just a few of the awful bits that should have been left out.

As for the plot, I'm not asking for a Oscar-worthy tale. I thought the plot of the first movie was fine. But Revenge of the Fallen seems like it's trying to be an Indiana Jones movie, and that doesn't work at all. And when did the transformers gain the ability to use magic? And teleport? How could that be explained in the least way? Why did the robots seem to completely disappear from the area, just because it was convenient for the story? Plot-wise, this was a mess. The first movie worked because it was simple, the sequel is needlessly complicated.

I guess the fact that I liked the movie, despite its HUGE flaws, is a testament to how inherently cool the concept of transforming robots is. I honestly can't think of any other reasons to not give this movie a worse score. I didn't particuarly like any of the human characters, the story was bad throughout, right up until the end (when it became sappy AND bad), and Bay ignored most of the cool new robots, and instead focused on the lame ones like the twins and the old farting jet with a cane. I'm probably giving this a too-high rating....yeah, I'm pretty certain that I am.

It's apparent that they were trying to do more with a storyline in this sequel, but somehow that was detrimental to the project. How can this be? . . . . . . . . . Oh, I know! I know! I know!

Just because you try to write a more involved story doesn't mean that it can't t

...( read more)urn out dumb. That's it. The story was a little bit stupid.

I liked seeing and especially hearing less from Fox -- her voice should be harnessed as a secret weapon -- and LeBeouf was good again, but the inane story killed this for me, and all the great action couldn't save it from becoming anything more than humdrum. Too many yawns for me. See the first one, if you want to see either.

It's bigger and better than the original. A spectacular, eye-popping, heart-pounding and visually dazzeling epic action masterpiece. It's an amasing sequel that stands as one of the greatest ever made in it's genre next to Aliens, Terminator 2: Judgement day and The Empire Strike...( read more)s Back. Director, Michael Bay strikes gold once again, crafting another astonishing triumph with some of the best speacial effects of today. The master of action has done it again. It's an incrediable, outstanding, extroadinary and breathtaking action-packed thrill-machine from the explosive begining to the incrediable finish. A smart, terifficly funny, exhilerating and mind-blowing adventure. It delivers more robots, more action, more laughs and more epic battles than ever before. This film screams out classic in so many ways. A fast, furious and full-throttle kintetic action flick loaded with pulse-pounding thrills and adreniline-pumping excitement around every corner. An absolute feast for the eyes and ears that will keep you entertainend right to the very end. A wickedly entertaining, explosive and truly unforgettable flim. I fell asleep halfway into the movie and I still knew what was going on. Rampant action scenes, weird sexual tension, and robot humans are just too much. The story gets muddled with the effects, but it's a blockbuster, alright

Leo Spitz could have a new love interest played by Parminder Nagra in Transformers 3.

Sam is with his girlfriend: Mikaela to get married @ the end of the movie of Transformers 3.

Wheelie will join Autobots because he is frightened of Decepticons in Transformers 3 before he learned a former Decepticon: Jetfire switches side to join Autobots in Transformers: Revenge of the Fallen.

Hope for new Autobots in Transformers 3.

So the film had its plot holes, but the incredible display of action, CGI and acting made this film suberb, i really enjoyed this flick and would recommend to almost anyone.

Anyone who wants to ditch Micheal Bay after this is just asking for the lack of continuity that has plagued series like Harry Potter and Star Trek. Transformers isn't an Artsie-Fartsie film. It isn't about fantastic acting and metaphors, it's a childs toy cartoon that became a movie. The movie blows your mind, it links in with the origional, and it made a boatload of money because regular people (who don't sit in a dark room analyzing movies all day for lack of a real job) actually went and saw it. The only way we'll get more great sequels is if we let Bay's imagination continue to amaze us.

Anyone remember how many critics tore into Star Wars when it was released. I do. I remember hearing them on TV and reading in the papers about how awful the movie was, and how only the special effects made it worth seeing. Now you’ld be hard pressed to find a critic that would openly admit that he or she hated the film.

Is Revenge of the Fallen on a par with Star Wars? Oh hell no!! But then who cares except the self appointed gardians of what we should and should not enjoy. As is so often the case, the critics are way off base. So far off base in fact that it is shameful. But then this is not the artsie fartsie type of crap that critics always seem to think is so wonderful. Nor is it the kind of left wing propaganda piece that so many of the fools praise and cheer for.

This is purely a fun film, full of fast paced action, and good old fashion, good verses evil, hero stuff. 8^)

You guys are crazy, I'm not on the bandwagon but dang the movie was good for what it was...if u like love, drama, suspense or westerns this wasn't the movie for u don't complain, i mean really made u laugh and was an action flick , why expect more....you guys find ways to hate on a movie, there were hater on dark knight wtf could u hate on but they found their reasons and ran with em, titanic same story doesn't matter the movie or drama all ya want to do is hate.....but in reality for what its suppose to be transformers is great, and as far as u comic book people, dude there is no way and i mean no way to incorporate every achin detail into a movie i mean come on man, name a movie that can do that.

I think people just need to realize that you don't go to a movie like this to FEEL something, or to have some sort of revelation. Just like the first one, you go to a movie like this to watch giant robots kick the crap out of each other.

Funny how many people are followers about saying this movie was grate when they really know it could have been allot better. I may be one of few that will speck my voice about how bad the movie was. I grew up with Transformers, watched every cartoon/movie about them. This was a big disappointment. If you like junk and have a low standard then you will like it. watch this http://g4tv.com/videos/39560/The-Real-Transformers-Debate-/

It's interesting how so many critics have said so many bad things about this movie, and yet, according to the news (if you want proof, check the links on the right hand side at the bottom), this movie is the second highest grossing movie in it's opening weekend of all time, only barely behind The Dark Knight. And it's expected to be one of only *eight* movies of all time to break the $400 million mark. So, no matter what the flaws were, someone somewhere must have done something right. Either that, or there's only 100 sane people in the world. Get a life people. There's a reason this is classified an Action movie, not a Drama.

And yes, I agree there were a number of flaws. But it was still a good movie. Someone said something about only wanting to see Harry Potter now because of this movie. Talk about flaws? How about completely removing characters that were in *every* book? Every movie has its flaws. What makes a movie good is not a lack of flaws, but how they put it all together.
