December 4, 2009I like the movie a lot. but they added so much to the 21 paged book that it wasn't really that same. and the only line they kept was not that significant.

December 4, 2009Waited for this film to come to the big screen. Spike directed this brilliantly with the cinematography and storyline was very good too however young kids might be frighten by it. November 30, 2009A little on the dark side and a strange take on the story book, but still really great. The speacial effects were phenomenal. This isn't a movie you want to take the young ones to. It can be a little scary at times.

November 29, 2009I really enjoyed this movie. If you like Jim Henson creatures in movies then this is a must see. A great job done on a movie with little source material to work upon. Highly recommended.

November 26, 2009Let me begin by saying I have never read the children's book. The movie is too dark for young children. I thought the kid in the movie was just a spoiled brat who lies to get his way. The monsters proved more interesting, but they also could be concerned with petty ideas too.
