I doubt you'll see a better superhero movie until the next Batman movie and it would have to be pretty good to top this!

It's probably the most complex, character driven film of it's genre and doesn't rely on set pieces to move the story along.

Granted it is long at just over 150 minutes but it doesn't drag too much.

Heath Ledger is unrognisable as The Joker and he is one sick individual.

As well as Heath a special mention must go to Aaron Eckhart who is fantastic as Harvey Dent.

It's certainly not a kids film and I have a feeling that it was edited to make it 12A, especially at the start with scene involving The Joker, a knife and gangster boss but I'm sure it'll restored for the DVD version. Noneless, although annoying it doesn't ruin the film.
